Why autologous fat transfer (lipofilling)?
An autologous fat transfer (lipofilling) is ideal for gently and lastingly filling deep dark circles, sunken tear troughs or hollow-looking upper and lower eyelids – with a particularly natural result.
Why autologous fat?
With increasing age, the skin not only loses elasticity, but also volume – especially around the eyes.
Autologous fat offers a biological, well-tolerated option for filling this area, as it comes from the patient’s own body and no foreign materials are used.

Procedure & Healing
- Gentle fat removal from the lower abdomen or thigh, for example
- Preparation and cleaning of fatty tissue
- Fine injection with microcannulas in the area of the tear trough, cheek transitions or lower eyelids
- Combination with eyelid lift in one session possible
- Anesthesia: local anesthesia or gentle anesthesia – outpatient and with brief monitoring.
- Fit for Society:: after approx. 4-7 days, slight swelling or bruising possible
- Final result: stable after approx. 6-8 weeks

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Is the result permanent?
Yes – around 30-70% of the fat inserted remains permanently. After healing, the result is stable in the long term.
Do I need a second treatment?
Sometimes yes – if more volume is desired or in the case of severe degradation, a follow-up treatment can be useful.
Will there be visible scars?
No – the fat is removed and injected through tiny openings in the skin, which usually heal without visible scars.
Are there alternatives to autologous fat?
Hyaluronic acid filler can achieve similar effects in the short term – but autologous fat is more long-lasting and ideally tolerated in the sensitive eye area.
No – botulinum toxin has been used medically and aesthetically for decades and is considered to be very well tolerated.
